My Dungaree Narrative

Asalam alaikum fam, I hope you are all well. It’s been a while courtesy of school but Alhamdulillah am back to sharing styling tips with you guys. Today we have dungarees on the table.

When I think about dungarees I get flashbacks of the “pinafore” in primary school and for some secondary school after such experiences none of us would want to condone the thought of wearing a dungaree but I know better now.

Dungaree dress

What am wearing:

Dress: The Indulgence collection

Shoes: Guess

Hat: H&M

The rest: Balogun Market

About a year ago I had this sudden attraction towards dungarees, so the search began and the struggle was real, most of the time if I found one it’s either too short or tight and that’s a big turn off for us modest girls. I even considered making one but the possibility of finding a good tailor just discouraged me.

Then I received a package from The Indulgence Collection and to my surprise it was a dungaree dress it was as if my mind was being read. I really appreciated the amount of thought that went into the making of this dress; the colour, the pleat detail, the fit and the length is just perfect for any Muslimah and for everyone in general.

How to style a dungaree dress

Dungaree dress I went for a casual look while styling this dress with a long sleeved black turtleneck top, and pair of white snickers, a black mini bag and a black hat. Honestly with this dress the possibilities are endless I can see myself going a bit official with a plain coloured shirt as my inner and a pair of court shoes or looking like a Parisian with a striped top as my inner and a beret.

What do you think of this dungaree dress? Would you wear it?

Thanks for stopping by and don’t forget to share, like and subscribe.

See you in my next post Insha Allah.
